We are a town-centre congregation worshipping in an area where there is considerable commercial and residential redevelopment.
The church was the first Baptist Church in Reading and was founded in 1640, a time of great social, civil, political and religious unrest.
Times have changed and we have changed our meeting place several times, over the years, yet we are committed to the same essential task to which those early Baptists set their hands - prayer, worship, mutual care and the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ
